ART Technica Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), specializing in software development and content production, began distribution October 4 via Apple's App Store, of the update to mimiCopy, the iOS app that supports guitarists and other musicians in the process of hearing and copying music. mimiCopy has been praised by musicians since its original release, and is consistently near the top of the music category rankings, gaining a position as a standard music app.
As widely requested by users, file management tools have been strengthened in this update. Users are now able to create new folders, rename files and folders, and copy and move files. The interface has also been updated for the retina display of the new iPad. Other minor improvements have been made to improve usability of the app, such as fixing small bugs and removing minor features from default settings. Also, due to the current development environment and iOS update status, compatible iOS versions have changed to 4.2 and later. Plans are to continue collecting user suggestions, and release further updates to the app.
mimiCopy is a music player specially geared towards players of musical instruments. With a clean, easy to use UI, it features the ability to change the playback speed and key of music, with very high audio quality.
mimiCopy 1.3.0 is $4.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Music category.
