Available today, DCApp is available for download on iTunes. The app allows those living in DC, Maryland, and Virginia and that are part of or interested in the Korean community to share and exchange information with each other. The app currently features coupons to local Korean businesses and the KORUS Festival live maps & schedule. DCApp team is currently working on adding MarketPlace, a place to buy and sell used items from mobile phones, to the app.
DCApp team has already reached out to a number of Korean businesses in the region and has formed partnerships to provide coupons through the app. One is Jang Won Ban Jum, a Chinese-fusion recipes Korean restaurant located in Centreville, VA, and already frequented by many locals, and Yolly Molly Cafe, an ice cream and mochi store located at the Fairfax Towne Center. The app also features coupons to the upcoming Kollaboration DC, a premier showcase of Asian American talent show, taking place on September 28 at George Washington University, ChloeChic.com, an online women's boutique based out of Reston, VA, Dahn Yoga, and Washington Thai Mission, one of food vendors at the KORUS Festival.
DCApp also provides schedule, detailed event information, and live map for the KORUS Festival, the largest Korean festival in the region taking place around end of September each year at the Bull Run Park. DCApp users can also write and share reviews for each event at the festival.
DCApp is available on Apple App Store for free and supports both Korean and English.
