BirdsCorp today announces Easy Pill 2.0.1 for iOS, an update to their Medical app that offers advanced, daily tracking of all pills, capsules, and other medication with iCloud support for automatic sync between all the user's iDevices. Featuring a daily list of medications by name with color-coded pill graphics, the app's easy to use GUI and automatic notifications make it easy to take pills on schedule. Users can select any dosing frequency and duration for each drug, including "as needed," and the time for doses can be entered easily via the app's unique, 24-hour Set Schedule grid. Especially convenient is Easy Pill's "Every X Hours" mode, where the app will automatically adjust dosing times based on when the first dose of the day is taken.
Managing prescription medication, vitamins, and herbal remedies is simple and straightforward with Easy Pill. From the Add Pill window users enter the pill's name and then answer just three questions: Dosing Frequency?; How Many Per Day?; and How Many Days? Frequency can be set for any regular interval from Every Hour to Every Eight Hours or from Daily to Every Two Weeks. Daily dosage can be set for any quantity from 1 to 12. Lastly, the number of days the medication is to be taken can be set for any number from 1 Day to 60 Days or from 1 Month to 12 Months or Forever. All settings are done by dialing in the correct variable on the Apple Picker odometer display, minimizing the total time for data entry.

With all its advanced capabilities, perhaps the app's most utilitarian feature is its intuitive, graphical display. The Easy Pill main window displays the date and then a stack of individual listings for each pill. The scrolling list contains six nameplates per page, and each contains the name of the pill in bold caps plus one or more color-coded tablets with their scheduled time to be taken clearly inscribed within the tablet. The app does not have a complex numerical table for each pill, keeping track of its dosing status. Rather, it displays one or more color and time-coded tablets that illustrate the dosing status clearly and intuitively. Red tablets symbolize a missed dose, green a dose that has been taken, cyan a dose that is ready to be taken, and white tablets symbolize a dose that is scheduled for later in the day. Tapping on any tablet turns it green and enters the exact time the dose was taken.
"There are many pill tracking apps available, but none with all the advanced functions and design features of Easy Pill," commented Dmitry Polyankovskiy of BirdsCorp. "Most important of all, Easy Pill is easy to use: entry, notification, lookup, and sync are all so easy that users of any age and experience will love this app."
