A new season means new possibilities, a great time to step up your training by upgrading to a better exercise app. Bit of Exercise strives to motivate active iPhone users to improve their training by introducing fully automated recording, flexible creation of workout programs and detailed reviewing of results - all on the phone. The app is ideal for running, walking and cycling, but works great for most activities, outdoor as indoor.

Bit of Exercise will automatically start recording your exercise when you leave your current location and end it when you return - no need to fiddle with your phone during your workout. Building your workout programs, you can set up when each segment should start and end based on different criteria such as reaching a location. As an example; warm up to the nearby hill, perform 5 hill intervals and then cool down back to where you started.

During your exercise, Bit of Exercise will motivate you to work harder by comparing your progress with a reference. Afterwards you will gain useful insights about your performance by studying your results in graphs, split tables and on a map. By scrubbing the progress bar you can navigate to any part of your exercise, while displays and cursors in maps and graphs will update to reflect both your and your reference's current location.

* Annotate and Share With Friends - Annotate your exercise and add tags to track equipment, events and conditions. Share your results with friends at Facebook, Twitter and RunKeeper.

* Immediate Access to Your Results - Zoom in on graphs and maps and navigate to any location along your route for closer examination and comparison with your reference exercise.

* Detailed History and Statistics - Track your progress over time with weekly, monthly and yearly statistics. Use search and filtering to find and organize your exercises.

* Keeps Track of All Your Workouts - Record both indoor and outdoor exercises using the built-in GPS and pedometer or by connecting heart rate and bike sensors.

Bit of Exercise 3.1 is available for free through the App Store in the Health & Fitness category. The free version is limited to 10 recorded exercises. You unlock the unlimited version using a $4.99 (USD) in-app purchase (or equivalent amount in other currencies).
