Independent developer, Ildar Pugachev today is pleased to announce the release of Frenzied swarm 1.0.1, a minor update to his fun game title for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Frenzied swarm doesn't seem so furious at a glimpse. When the game starts, we see a field full of roses: some of them are blossomed flowers, some of them are just buds. There are four stages of rose bud growth and the task is to clean the field from flowers completely using bees and taps.
The game rules are really quite simple - you don't even need to read them in order to understand. To help flowers grow from bud to next stage you have to tap them. But the trick is that the number of taps is limited to 24 only. If you play well, you can receive extra taps, but at the beginning you will have to use as little taps as possible to save them for next levels.
So how can we save taps? The trick is to use bees: when you tap a full-bloomed flower, the bees fly from it in four different directions, pollinizing the closest flowers and making them grow to a next stage. You can even launch a chain reaction if you tap a rose situated amongst other full-bloomed roses - and that's when the swarm will really become drenzied, cleaning all the flowers from his way. If you think hard and tap carefully, you might be able to clean all field in one or two taps. This can be quite a challenge and at the same time a joy for those, who like calm logical games.
Though, there is a little flaw: the number and position of fool-bloomed roses are generated randomly at a start of each new level. This is why sometimes it seems that the higher levers can be cleared as easily as the lower. The interface, music and graphics in "Frenzied swarm" can be described as plain, but not poor or bad. It is easy to navigate through small menu, the sound effects do not distract from the game process and the graphics aren't overloaded with effects. I think that it is quite good as one is able to fully concentrate on a game.
Frenzied swarm 1.0.1 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
