Fuze, a New York based mobile development agency, today announces the release of FitX app for iPhone. The first version of FitX was released in Brazil in January 2013 and has consistently been atop the most popular apps chart since release. Fuze is today launching the already popular Brazilian app in English and tailored specifically for the US and European user.
Fuze partner and director of US operations, Chris Miller, said that the utility of a smartphone in the gym must not be underestimated. "Having in your hands a smartphone that can tell you exactly what exercises to do and how to do it doesn't just make it easier," said Miller. "It also makes the time you spend in the gym more effective and, by using the correct posture, safer."
FitX delivers expertly developed workout routines, goal-specific workout regimes, video demonstrations by professional trainers and body metrics tracking. Performance analysis is shown based on past workout history, allowing the user to track progress and see results.
"It's the simplest and most complete fitness app," said Fuze partner and co-founder, Daniel Ramos. "With it I'm able to control all my workouts and keep track of the exercises I do. It also enables me to track my measurements."
* Professionally defined workout plans
* Video instruction of each workout to demonstrate correct posture and technique
* Diagram showing muscles worked for each exercise
* Ability to create custom workouts
* Calendar to track workout progress and history
* Graphs to track body weight with workout progress over time
* Built-in stopwatch
* Sharing of custom-defined workouts with other FitX users
* Ability to export workout plan to PDF
The app seeks to replace the traditional paper notebook that is often used to track training routines. It maximizes the efficiency of time spent in the gym and works to leverage the most results out of every workout through proper instruction and exercise execution.
FitX 3.0 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Health & Fitness category.
