Independent development studio, Comexias today is thrilled to announce the release of Birthdays Calendar for iOS. Birthdays Calendar is a new and powerful birthday reminder app that lets users get their friend's birthday even if it is not specified on Facebook, a unique feature that is first of its kind.

Birthdays Calendar can import birthdays from Facebook and iOS Address Book. Featuring an intuitive design, contacts are properly organized showing birthdays today, upcoming and recently over - all at a glance. Tapping a contact will bring up a beautiful contact card with horoscope, age, and other info.

Its most impressive feature is the ability to get a friend's birthday even if it is not specified on Facebook. The app does so by reading the friend's Facebook Timeline for birthday wishes made by other people to pinpoint the birth date. Accuracy is assured by an intelligent algorithm, which compares the birth date across multiple years and only selecting the date with the highest number of wishes. Users will see a message like this: "127 people wished John on February 18, since 2009".

Among other features are local notifications which remind users on their friends' birthday. Users are given the flexibility to turn on or off reminders for individual contacts, customize the notification time, and even set early reminder to give them time to buy gifts. The app also makes it easy to wish friends. Social features include sending text messages, posting on Facebook, and viewing Facebook profiles - all from within Birthdays Calendar.

Birthdays Calendar 1.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.
