Monica Peters is the mobile software developer and she is Onkwehonwe (Mohawk, Kanien'kehake) from Akwesasne. She developed her first software program in the mid 1970s when she was a child first learning how to read. Her past work developing Endangered Language Machine Translators in the early 19990s using voice recognition and similar technologies was Internationally recognized with awards and a televised documentary from the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation. Monica also attends Full Sail University where she is earning her Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Mobile Software Development for iOS and Android.
