HONG KONG - August 10, 2011 - NetDragon Websoft Inc. ("NetDragon", HK Stock Code: 777), a leading online game developer and operator in China, will be in attendance at GamesCom this year in Cologne, Germany. Several of their most popular titles will fill their booth, most notably Conquer Online, the first and only free-to-play MMO that can be played on four different platforms: Windows, Mac, iPad and Facebook.
Originally launched in 2003, Conquer Online has received high accolades for being a leader in the MMO space by being the first MMO to adopt a free-to-play model. Conquer Online is one of the most successful products of NetDragon's overseas offerings. After eight years of amassing over 10 million players worldwide, the game has since been made available in 10 different language versions, making it enjoyable to players from over 100 different countries.
Conquer Online has recently branched out to the Mac OS system and has become the first free-to-play MMO experience for Mac. NetDragon announced earlier this week that the company is planning to have a major presence at GamesCom this year by showcasing Conquer Online's Facebook & iPad beta clients at the exhibition. The company also confirmed that the official versions of the new platforms will be free-to-play as well. NetDragon is also working to expand additional titles onto new platforms in the future.
Players who visit NetDragon's booth at GamesCom will be offered a first look and hands-on time with Conquer Online's Facebook and iPad experiences. NetDragon will be running demos and videos from 10:30am to 4:00pm during the show. GamesCom begins August 17th – August 21st. Doors open to the public beginning on the 18th.
