Orange Group Apps, a developer of outdoor adventure apps, today is proud to announce the release of its outdoor navigation app Travel Altimeter Lite for Android and a completely redesigned version 3.0 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Travel Altimeter Lite shows users their GPS triangulated altitude or topographical map elevation for determining how high up they are on a mountain, in a building, or anywhere else in the world. Users can view their altitude in a large readable format on different themed backgrounds (Meadow, City, Mountains) that change with the time of day.
Both versions include a built-in flashlight useful for camping, geocaching, night hiking, or night flying.
The new iOS version of Travel Altimeter Lite adds features for using your own custom images as a background and sharing a screenshot via Email, text message, Facebook, and Twitter. Outdoor adventurers can now snap a photo of themselves on a mountain top and share the image overlaid with their actual elevation.
Also added to the new version of Travel Altimeter Lite for iOS are Japanese, Russian, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian localizations. Both the Android and iOS versions are also localized in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Polish.
"Hikers want to know their elevation," said Michael Patzer, owner of Orange Group Apps. "We provide them with a simple, beautiful solution that works."
Travel Altimeter Lite is Free and available worldwide on the App Store (in the Navigation category) and Google Play. If you would like further information or to schedule an interview, please contact Michael Patzer.
