Stepping Stone Mobile today announced that Pen & Ink is the #1 Productivity App in South Korea having been featured by Apple in the "New and Noteworthy" section of the App Store. Pen & Ink is the simplest way to create beautiful watercolor paintings and drawings on the iPad. It recently rocketed to the top of the charts in China and remains #1 in Productivity in 10 other countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and Hong Kong.

South Korea is the first country to declare it will convert students' textbooks to digital tablets within the next few years. According to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, 100% of the schools in South Korea have fast internet connections, and all the teachers are trained in digital learning. The country takes education very seriously, with most children studying 12 hours or more a day and a school year that lasts 216 days a year, compared with 180 days in the United States.

"It is important in South Korea to have a powerful art app," says Emily Zhang, who studies international marketing at Columbia University. "South Korean students want to create high-quality art." Pen & Ink, which is receiving 5-star ratings, includes all of the art essentials for free - numerous paintbrushes, pens, pencils, watercolor palettes and zoom.

Pen & Ink 2.4.1 is Free USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Entertainment category. The full version sells within the app for $2.99, and offers powerful artistic features such as smudge tools, layers, custom color palettes and 25 unique, realistic brushes.
