Perdrix Apps today is proud to announce that their first app, Perdrix TXT, is now available exclusively for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Perdrix TXT is a plain text e-book reader offering an experience close to the real book. In Perdrix TXT, the readers can turn pages in a realistic fashion, use the intuitive "book edgeways" indicator to see where they are or skip to a different place, and use a personalized bookmark like a real one.
"There's always a feel of where the current page is in a book", said developer Claude Labelle. "On the iPad in landscape (2-page) mode, the reader can tell if the bookmark is before or after the current page".
Perdrix TXT offers the spatial context found in real books, with the search, dictionary and copy tools of e-books. "The pages only have text and a page number. Readers can touch a page without fear of buttons popping up. Even the search feature is in its own screen, so it doesn't interfere with the book itself." said Labelle.
Perdrix TXT 1.0 is now available for $1.99 in the U.S. and is priced accordingly in other regions. Perdrix TXT is available world-wide from Apple's App Store in the Books category. Promo codes are available for app reviews.
