Featuring three levels of difficulty, players touch a face down card, see its face, and try to match it from memory using the remaining face down cards. The game scores the player with their total time to finish and their total number of errors or incorrect matches. Always an entertaining and challenging pastime, Memory for Children is the ideal game for parents and children to enjoy together.

While there are many memory match games for iOS, Memory for Children includes four features that set it apart. First, kids or parents can create additional, custom cards whose faces display photos of easily recognizable people or objects. These custom cards will appear randomly in the puzzles along with the animal character cards. Second, the game includes a cast of characters who are cartoon animals from all over the world. Included are: Crocodile, Giraffe, Rhinoceros, Monkey, Lion, Caribou, Beaver, Polar Bear, Puffin, Raccoon, Deer, Pig, Frog, Brown Bear, Chicken, Cow, Hedgehog, Rabbit, Polecat, and Fox. Additional animal characters available for purchase include: Tasmanian Devil, Kangaroo, Koala, Platypus, Bilby, Crab, Hippo, Grouper, Clownfish, and Shark.

Third, the level of difficulty is determined by increasing the number of cards in the array from 12 to 16 to 20; at every level the second card chosen is displayed for just 2 seconds, unless it is a match and remains face up for the rest of the game. Fourth, players not only complete the puzzle, they also receive a score. In this way, they can measure their gradual improvement in speed and accuracy.

Long used by cognitive psychologists and grade school teachers, this kind of card matching, also called Concentration, is a game that can have a significant positive effect on a child's intellectual development. Players exercise and develop their recognition, attention, and short-term memory skills in the context of a game that is always different and always fun.
