Pocket Logic LLC announced this week the launch of a mobile application - Pocket Analytics - designed for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. The aim of Pocket Analytics is to consolidate access to a wide range of analytics services into a single app, thereby making the process of checking key metrics more efficient and the data more relevant.
"The idea really grew out of a need to track performance of our own apps, and our clients' web and mobile properties," says Jack Roberts, Product Manager at Pocket Logic LLC. "We were constantly switching between different apps on our phones, and also checking various websites. When all you want is a quick status check, it's cumbersome and takes too long."
Pocket Analytics provides access to a user's accounts on a variety of 3rd party services, allowing access to:
* Sales and app store data from appFigures and App Annie;
* App analytics from Flurry and Google Analytics;
* Website analytics from Google Analytics, Piwik and Clicky;
* Link sharing metrics from Bitly and AddThis;
* Social insights from Facebook Insights; and
* Uptime information from Pingdom.
The app is extremely flexible in allowing the user to customize how their data is presented - website visitor statistics can be placed next to app store sales data, which in turn can be next to link sharing metrics - each from a different account with a different service.
Users can also create their own tabs in the app to construct mini dashboards for related metrics from their accounts. Users then choose the graphs and charts to add to each tab and can arrange them using a simple drag and drop mechanism.
Users are able to view current, average, maximum, and total values for all metrics, as well as generate trend lines. Additionally, users can compare historical daily values across metrics from different accounts and services by simply tapping on a graph. Values for the specified day are highlighted in all graphs in the same tab.
Pocket Analytics 1.0 is $8.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category.
