Apps by Zero is proud to announce TakeMyCard 1.0.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. Easily share multiple, predefined sets of contact information with anybody via a simple to use, professional-looking interface.
TakeMyCard was created with two simple objectives in mind; to enable the user to share their contact details without carrying business cards, and to be able to choose exactly which details are shared on a case by case basis. In addition to this, the recipient needs to be able to add the details to their address book easily, and they need to be shareable with everyone, not just those with iPhones.
TakeMyCard uses the vCard file format to send the details, this ensures that only minimal effort is required from the recipient to add them to their address book, and being a universally accepted format, it doesn't matter what platform they're on.
TakeMyCard not only allows a business card to be converted into a vCard, it allows the storage of up to three unique sets of contact details. Using TakeMyCard is like carrying multiple business cards without the associated design and print costs or the inconvenience of bulging card cases.
Whether the extra sets are used to store details of a second line of work, as 'extended' and 'basic' sets of contact details, or as personal details, the decision as to which details to share can be made on a person by person basis, and everything is easily editable should details change.
By default, if there is an email address in the card being shared, TakeMyCard will BCC it whenever it emails the card out so you can keep track of your sharing. This behaviour can be turned off in the phone's Settings app, or alternatively, a specific email address can be entered to be BCCd every time that any card is shared.
TakeMyCard 1.0.2 is $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide through the App Store in the Business category.
