To help jobseekers stand out in the most competitive job market in decades, Career Marketing Specialists is releasing an update to ResuM8, an iOS app that guides users through the steps of writing an attention-grabbing resume. The app includes more than 1,000 Career Objectives and ready-to-use phrases to help users build, edit, and send their resumes in a single application.
The update brings iPad support allowing users to complete their resumes on a larger screen. It also features an easy-to-use, updated design to make resume writing faster, friendlier and easier.
"Our goal was to make writing a professional and powerful resume faster, easier and more accessible to the general marketplace," said Louise Conn, President of Career Marketing Specialists Inc. "ResuM8 is the most complete resume writing app and draws on our company's 30 years of resume marketing experience helping applicants successfully find jobs."
As users work through the resume builder in the app, all the information entered or selected, will automatically be inserted into a template created by the experts at Career Marketing Specialists Inc.
Users start by entering their contact details and then create or select a Resume Headline (Career Objective) for their resume. The app then guides jobseekers through entering lists of Major Strengths developed over the course of their career and previous jobs held. They have the opportunity to include education, training / courses, and any additional information. Once the resume is complete, users can email it to themselves for further editing as an RTF or directly to an employer as a PDF file, complete with a customized cover letter.
"ResuM8 takes a fresh approach to professional resume writing that gives applicants two valuable advantages in the current job market: not only can they now craft their resumes regardless of their location, they can also have an updated copy ready to send to a potential employer any time," Louise Conn said.
To enhance the resume, ResuM8 also offers an optional paid upgrade: jobseekers can choose from over 400 Career Objectives and nearly 1,000 pre-written phrases that describe their Career Strengths and Personal Attributes. These Career Objectives and key phrases are sorted into 13 popular Occupational Areas including Sales and Marketing, Management, Engineering, HR, IT, and more.
