ScreenFloat lets users create screenshots that float above all windows so they don't have to move or resize windows around just to keep a piece of information visible on screen. It is a novel approach of using screenshots to help with multitasking and smaller screens.

When shots are closed, they are stored in ScreenFloat's Shots Browser where they can be organized with titles and tags and categorized with categories and smart categories, based on different criteria, like smart folders in Finder.

New in version 1.2 of ScreenFloat:

⇒ For users of OS X Lion, ScreenFloat is now sandboxed, providing improved security for its users as well as fullscreen support for the Shots Browser
⇒ Floating shots can now be dragged to other applications and saved to a location in Finder directly from the shots themselves
⇒ The user's default mail client is available in the "Send to..." contextual menu
⇒ Double clicking a floating shot immediately sends it to an application the user can specify in the preferences.

"Customers love ScreenFloat", says Matthias Gansrigler, CEO of Eternal Storms Software and developer of ScreenFloat. "Every day I get mails about how people are using ScreenFloat, in amazing ways I couldn't imagine when I first released it. ScreenFloat has been receiving great reviews on the Mac App Store since it's been released, and I couldn't be happier about it!"

ScreenFloat 1.2 is available exclusively on the Mac App Store in the Productivity category. A 15-day free trial is available for download from the application's website.
