Announcing that the App Bakery has released its first childrens application, Spellorama, for iPod touch and iPhone. Spellorama is a fun educational application that allows children to learn to spell using words that you control rather than a fixed list.
Most schools provide children with a weekly list of words for them to learn. By adding these words to Spellorama each week you can focus the childs learning to those words. The Spellorama robot will speak each word and keep score, allowing the child to practice until they hit 100% success.
Spellorama keeps a list of all words entered allowing whilst allowing you to select only those that you want to test on. However, sometimes the robot can't always pronounce a word so the option to add in phonetic spellings is available as well as a practice function which allows you to get a word spoken correctly before adding it to the list. If you're still not happy then the word can be sent to the master robot who will work out how to say the word and then add it to Spelloramas built in word list.
During the game children can have the robot speak the word again, speak it slower or faster, as well as display the word for a few seconds to help with the learning process.
Spellorama helps children learn to spell using only those words which they need to learn.
Spellorama 1.0 is only $0.99 (USD) and is available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Education category. Promo codes are available for qualified reviews. Please specify the website or blog you represent when making your request.
