Do you ever forget whose turn it is to take out the garbage? Have you argued with your spouse about walking the dog? Or maybe your kids fight over whose turn it is do play with a toy. The new Turns app available in the App Store today prevents these arguments by providing a quick, easy way to keep track of whose turn it is to complete any activity. Simply add the activity you want to track, such as buying the next round of drinks, then add the members and start tracking your turns.

Unlike other apps in the store which focus solely on switching turns between games for children or tracking money spent between friends, Turns allows the tracking for any activity you can imagine. With a streamlined interface, checking on whose turn it is takes single tap to launch the app's home screen filled with your activities and the name of whoever's turn is next. Tap on their name to take a turn or swipe open the Skip Turn button to skip over that mooch who always seems to miss Happy Hour when it's his turn to buy the round. But don't worry, he is only shuffled back one spot so he'll have to pay next time around. Checking on the history of turns and skips taken is quickly accomplished by tapping the activity name - couldn't be easier.

"With so many apps becoming complex and requiring multiple taps to accomplish simple tasks, we wanted to create a product to solve a common problem in the quickest way possible. We know Turns is that product," said Zach Hyatt, Director of Development for Armored Pig apps.

Turns 1.0 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.

Add this to the "Invention is the mother of necessity" list. And the good news is, my kids are savvy enough to use it - the decision of Blues Clues vs. Dora can now be safely taken out of my hands ;)
