Nevosoft, a top Russian casual game developer, announced the release of their game Zzed: space story. It's a unique arcade game that's great mix between a space shooter and a marble popper.
The main character is a young humanoid named Zzed. He had to graduate a course in cosmic waste management and now he is trying to get a job at the Zopa-Zola Corporation. Why? The answer is very simple. He is in love and ready to do anything to marry the girl of his dreams, a pretty woman named Zzuma. And of course a good job with a good paycheck will go a long way in impressing her. The story, such as it is, is played out in fun, comic-panel cut scenes between levels.
Collecting trash is the main part of the game and, of course, it's extremely fun to do. You should launch a colored orb from Zzed's ship into the floating mass of colored meteorites. Make three or more of them of the same color collide and they'll disappear. Make enough disappear and you win the level. You can also move your ship by touching and dragging it. You can rotate a full 360 degrees (actually around and around in circles if you want) and travel to different parts of the level. You only need to use one finger to play, as you can just tap the screen to shoot in the direction of your touch. The only other interaction is moving your ship, which is also controlled by a single finger. You'll also be dodging meteorites flying at you, trying not to lose all your lives. Launching your orbs causes the trash to scatter and move in realistic ways, thus allowing you to make huge combos. This also adds an element of puzzle-solving strategy, particularly in more advanced levels.
