Atlantis Pearls of the Deep for iPad and iPhone

Atlantis Pearls of the Deep for iPad and iPhone combines match-three and physics gameplay to create a unique challenge.

Who would have thought that over all these years the Lost City of Atlantis wasn’t actually lost at all, but, was instead a fantastic iOS strategy game? The developers at Legacy Interactive have hit a homerun with their latest game, Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep.

The app is a match-three strategy game made new and fresh with the addition of a physics-engine. You must match three of the same colored pearls, however, in Atlantis neither time or gravity are on your side. Like a giant Plinko board, pearls are dropped from the top of the screen. Matched pearls vanish and potentially release tools to advance the game.

Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep has gotten rave reviews and even won a Game of the Year award. And for good reason, this is a great game with a simple concept that can be enjoyed over and over again. The match-3 concept is an easy idea to grasp, but can be extremely challenging to play—especially with a time limit.

Atlantis: Pearls of the deep has a simple storyline that challenges the player to collect magical pearls in order to save Atlantis. Power-ups — such as bomb pearl, ghost pearl and lightening pearl — help to clear the levels throughout different stages of the game.

Atlantis: Pearls of the deep has 45 different levels that are all unique and challenging. If you manage to complete the achievements, there are plenty of extras to keep you busy including bonus games, mini games, and a Zen mode for unlimited gameplay. Players can also connect with Game Center to challenge friends and compare scores against other users.

This game is available for all of the iOS devices. It looks especially great on an iPad, and is also a lot of fun on the smaller screens when you need to get a quick fix on-the-go. The real Atlantis may be still lost, but if you like match-three games you may have found a new treasure in Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep.
