Video Poker by Hoyle is exactly what it sounds like — video poker for the iPhone — but what its name lacks in “sexiness” it make up for in sheer reliability.

The Vegas-style game consists of Double Bonus, 5 Card Draw, Jokers Wild, Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild — all of which shine like a iPhone fresh out of the box. Now as a professional iPhone reviewer — jealous? what’s your job title? — I have seen a lot of card games come my way but Hoyle’s version really does take the cake.

Xewton Music Studio is a Beast — and We Mean it in the Best Possible Way

Lets start with the bad news, Xewton Music Studio is a $20 iphone application. That is a lot of money on a platform that offers an almost infinite amount of free and under $2 apps. That being said this thing is a beast and in a world that seems to be in a drunken race to the bottom, I will gladly stand on the top and give Xewton my hard earned 20 bucks.

One of the best aspects of this music studio app is the sounds quality — this baby purrs. The dare I say brilliant sound quality really shines when mixing a track with one of the 21 instruments included in the app. Another very cool feature is the ability to transfer and save your work through wi-fi, this simple but rather important feature gives Zewton a very real usefulness — especially for those composing on the run (you know who I am talking about out there).

Here Say Desperately Needs Some Early Adopters

Here Say is a self-proclaimed “augmented reality” app whose goal is to build a community around the act of posting pictures. The developer freely admits the app is still in Beta, but read his description in the App Store and it’s obvious Design-PT has big goals.

The basic premise behind Here Say is this – you are at a place, say a concert, and you take a picture of the stage through the Here Say iPhone app. You post the picture to the community and attach a comment to it.
