Touch Physics is ingenious, addictive, and a load of fun.

The mechanics of Touch Physics are quite simple yet it is one of those things which, when you experience it, make you realize just how powerful the iPhone platform is. In fact, although Touch Physics is being sold as a game, an argument can be made that it is more of a “Proof of Concept” application.

The objective is simple — using the laws of physics (more specifically gravity) you have to engineer a little wheel to make its way from one side of the screen to the other to meet with a shiny gold star.

Mancala: FS5 (Free) — Marble Game Gets Everything Right

Mancala: FS5 (Free). For those of us that didn’t already know, “The word mancala comes from the Arabic word naqala meaning literally ‘to move.’ There is no one game with the name mancala; instead mancala is a type, or designation, of game.” (Wikipedia)

This is a wonderful game that I remember from my childhood and it brought a smile to my face to see it in the app store. But wait… it’s free! This is not a “Lite” version, it’s not stripped down at all, and frankly, the developers have done a fantastic job.

Super Word Find Will Keep Search Enthusiasts Busy

Super Word Find is exactly what it purports to be — a word finding puzzle which remains true to the classic word search puzzles. Moreover, it’s “supercharged” in a kind of way that only a Word Search can be.

The interface is smooth, aesthetically pleasing, and clearly developed specifically for the iPhone. It is fairly uncomplicated and once you familiarize yourself with its navigation (which will take you no more that 30 seconds), you won’t get bogged down in having to traverse numerous menus before you can start playing the game.
