If you are a fan of bird-themed games, then Bubble Grubble, the newest addition in the genre, might be your new iPhone addiction.
The game has a simple concept that only takes a minute to figure out, but will also provide endless hours of game play. Bubble Grubble challenges the gamer to help a mother bird feed her starving chicks by shooting bugs with bubbles and sending them up into the nest where the chicks are resting. The bugs can be tricky though and will not go down without a fight, as they move around and hide behind objects.
Bubble Grubble is similar to Angry Birds in that you have bombs and stones you must use to knock over objects to free the bugs before you can capture and feed them to the baby chicks. The game has clear and colorful graphics and can be enjoyed by both adults and children alike.
The Bubble Grubble app can be used on both the iPhone and iPad. The gameplay is just as fun on both devices. I preferred to use the iPhone to play the game since it is a smaller device and easier to handle.
Bubble Grubble has over 80 different levels that can be unlocked with a single purchase of $0.99. The free version of the game only allows you to play the first five levels in each mode (easy and hard). But once you get started you will not want to stop, and the free version’s five levels might not be enough to get your fill of this ridiculously entertaining game.
Bubble Grubble is one of those games where you can spends a few hours playing and not notice the time pass by. It’s a game that doesn’t require much of a commitment and can be played during quick breaks or while you are looking to kill some time. It is also easy to use and only requires a few actions from the user.
The best iOS games are the ones that are simple to use and do not let the game controls get in the way of the gaming experience. Bubble Grubble only requires you to shoot and tilt your device to get the bugs into the mouth’s of the baby chicks.
Overall Bubble Grubble is an entertaining game and could easily become the new must have iOS game. It’s entertaining, fun and addictive and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a new gamming addiction.
