EarthScape – A Second Look at “Google Earth for the iPhone” – Now FREE

Note: This post is an update of an earlier post where we were a little too harsh on the app. Also, in the interim, Earthscape has reduced its price to Free (with the “for a limited time only” caveat). Thanks to our readers for pointing this out.

“Earthscape”, is best described as a Google Earth knockoff for the iPhone. Unlike Google Earth, which has full search capabilities, in EarthScape, you need to click on an area of the globe to zoom in. You can either look at the landscape from an overhead aerial view, or as a “fly-by” (see attached video).
