AppCraver is partnering up with AdMob to highlight some of the developers that are using the AdMob mobile advertising platform. Chris Diskin of nodconcept, comes to us courtesy of this partnership. Here are his experiences developing apps for the iPhone and iPod touch.
When did you start developing apps for the iPhone? Did you have previous experience as a developer?
Last August. None whatsoever.
What / how many apps have you made so far?
Four on the store. Two more pending release.
What type of apps/games/software inspires you? Where do you get your ideas?
Apps that solve everyday life problems. ... and some games and fun stuff!!! Me, friends, family.
How do you settle on the price point for your apps?
Compare to other apps that are out there.
What has been the best thing about designing for the iPhone?
Getting in early. Realizing that not all your ideas are actually that good!
What has been the biggest challenge about designing for the iPhone?
Not enough time in the day.
Is your company venture backed or privately held?
Private. All me.
Do you have any other apps in the works?
What apps do you have on your iPhone?
Lots. Frequently purge them though.
What do you like to do when you're not coding for the iPhone?
Sleep. Think of more ideas.
