Any publicity is always good publicity in terms of selling a product. I hope your sales have improved because I bet you deserve it.I do hope though that people out there realize that many developers have experienced even worse downloads/purchases than what your game gets. My 3-in-1 game Whack Attack! Games is a prime example. It's a good deal of fun, extremely polished and has more than one game in it compared to other single game titles. It also has a good deal of unlockable content with repeated play (something many other games lack). But regretfully, unless people know about it, they simply don't buy it.

I remember reading about this developer on another site.
