iPhone Firmware has been released – hopefully this will fix some of the bugs with applications crashing.
Via iPhonews.com.
One of the improvements in this version of the software is the addition of certain core location features that not only track where you are, but also the direction you are heading. This should eventually allow applications to give you the “turn here” type of directions found in most automobile GPSs.
In addition, Apple has also issued a new SDK for the iPhone, although it cant yet be used to publish apps to the App Store.
>> Update: there is now no word on whether any bugs are in fact fixed with this release. This is a bit disconcerting given the frequent app crashes we are seeing.
