MyWisdom Quotes Wisdom of the Ages

MyWisdom.

“The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug.”

“The safest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it in your pocket.”

“How is it that little children are so intelligent and men are so stupid? It must be education that does it.”
These timeless quotes are by Mark Twain, Kin Hubbard, and Alexander Dumas respectfully and represent only a small sampling of thousands of quotes that are brought to you by MyWisdom. This enjoyable application is presented well and does a very good job of achieving what it set out to do.

MyWisdom includes useful features like Favorites, Categories, and About the Author. They claim to update the app every week with new quotes and if that’s true, then the incentive to buy is even greater.

MyWisdom’s interface is smooth and so far, I have not come across any bugs or developmental flaws. You can bookmark any quote as a “favorite” and come back to it later for future reference by simply tapping a star that resides in the top left corner of the screen. There is also a handy little dice that sits in the top right corner and when tapped, generates a random quote from any one of the available categories. Personally, I really liked this feature.

In addition, you are met with a Quote of the Day as you open MyWisdom and if you are connected to the internet, you can get more information about the author by simply tapping a button at the bottom of the screen. For those who enjoy a little competition, there is a cute “Quiz” feature that challenges you to match a quote with its author. I warn you, the quiz is never easy and you really have to know your quotes to do well in it.

When I got MyWisdom, it was selling for $0.99. MyWisdom now goes for $1.99 but if this is your cup of tea then it will be two dollars well spent.
