Notespark – Have you been working on your New Year’s resolutions yet? You know the ones you recycled from last year and the year before? This year it’s going to be different right? You’re going to do what you say you’re going to do and when you’re doing to do it, right?
That’s where Metaspark’s Notespark could be of help to you. The app syncs to the company’s Web site, enabling you to send notes back and forth from your iPhone. Just think how organized you’ll be.
You can create or edit files on your iPhone and sync it to MetaSpark’s Web server or you can create and edit files on the Web server and sync them with your iPhone. That’s a particularly worthwhile feature because you can create your notes using a standard keyboard rather than the iPhone’s keyboard.
One of Notespark’s nifty features is that you can give access to your notes to whomever you designate. For example, your family might decide to collaborate on where to go on vacation or you and your spouse could update the week’s shopping list.
Should more than one person edit the same file at the same time, Notespark will combine the changes.
Last, you can star and tag key topics, like that list of resolutions you plan to write.
Metaspark says it’s notes sync app and site are different than others in the App Store because the company built the system from the ground up to ensure they’re closely entwined and work well together. I have to agree, the process of creating and swapping notes is seamless.

I’ve been waiting for an app like this since I purchased my iPhone. I bought it the day it came out and it’s worked perfectly. Two thumbs up. BONUS: No Comic Sans.

I do this same thing for free, just by creating and saving draft email messages…you can edit them on your phone or using your desktop (accessing the website for your favorite POP mail service – I use Yahoo). And it might be easier to use the message I create since I can easily email them, save the content into other file formats on my computer, etc.

I’ve been using Notespark for a few weeks now, and I love it! Being able to manage notes with tag collections, and syncing make this the killer note app. I’m very happy to see this app filing the hole that Apple left with their built-in note app.

Notespark’s server is incredibly slow. It can take several minutes to access and edit notes. That renders an otherwise effective app next to useless. Notespark, please upgrade your online performance.

You cannot import notes if you’ve collected them from elsewhere or within other programs before the iPhone was around(Palm Treo anyone?). The App might be good if you’re starting from scratch…I have reviewed about 15-20 “Note” Apps–none are as good as NoteLife + SOHO Notes. Notespark is a “2-Star” App. Don’t be fooled.
