Two of the best selling arcade games in history, Pacman and Ms PacMan are now available for purchase on the iPhone. These are not knockoffs of the original games, but completely remastered versions, with the authentic music and play.

“We are excited to add iPhone and iPod touch to the list of devices that consumers can use to play PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN,” said Scott Rubin, vice president of sales and marketing for Namco Networks. “We are delighted that we could utilize the innovation of the iPhone OS to bring high-quality, fun Namco titles like PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN to a new platform.”

We played around with “Ms PacMan” (cost: $9.99) and were not disapointed. There are three modes in which you can play the game: with small nav buttons on the bottom, using the tilting accelerometer to move PacMan around, or by swiping the screen up and down or across. By far, we liked the later method of Game Play. All in all, an excellent rendition of a hit game. We rate both apps 8/10.
