Moto Mania is a ragdoll physics-based dirtbike game for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and it follows in the footsteps of some of the classic side-scrolling dirtbike stunt games of the past, like Excite Bike for the original Nintendo Entertainment System.

If you enjoy simple flick-style sports-themed arcade games and soccer is your main goal, then check out Go Soccer for iPhone and iPod Touch. A quick, pick-up-and-play style game that takes advantage of flick-style controls and pits players against a moving target in the soccer goal.

If you're of a certain age—read: you're a college student—you likely already know all about Texts From Last Night, or TFLN for short. TFLN is a Webby Award-winning website, a popular Facebook group, a book, a soon-to-be TV series on the Fox network, and, now, an iPhone app.
Problem: You like launching explosives in physics-based puzzle-worlds to kill enemies.
Solution: Angry Birds.
Residual problem: You really want to kill people, not pigs.
Better Solution: Fragger.
The emergence of the App Store has undeniably created a renaissance of exciting and inventive new games. This much is not news to anyone. What gamers may not realize is that the iPhone has become the stage for older PC games to get a second life, and even the chance to come back into fashion.
Overall, I really like Assault Commando, but I do have one nit to pick.
3D Magic says Assault Commando is set in a South American jungle, but its look seems Asian; Perhaps we're in Peru during the rule of Alberto Fujimori.
