Parking Lot Steps Up The Puzzle Game

Sometimes there’s an app that goes the extra mile and does a little bit better than the competition. Parking Lot is a puzzle game where you must safely navigate a yellow Beetle out of a maze of jammed packed cars. Parking Lot may remind you of other object puzzle games like Square Master, and Blocked but that’s where the similarities stop.

Parking Lot has lots more content. There are 12 packs and more than 450 puzzles. You’ll be busy for hours upon hours. Packs are the different types and numbers of cars in the maze. Puzzles are the different configurations of the cars in the maze. The most challenging part of Parking Lot is trying to get the car out in the least amount of moves.

Parking Lot has excellent graphics with bright and vivid colors. The stats board is cleverly done with moves, puzzle and difficulty information always on top. The soundtrack is okay but a little more variation would be appealing. One of the more interesting aspects of the game is that it doesn’t have a progressive difficulty. You can have one puzzle that’s hard. Next, you can have an easy one and then another of medium difficulty. It does give you the option to go back and play a puzzle again.

There are some things that might improve the gaming experience. The ability to listen to your own music might help extend game play. Silence can be a bit boring and the built in music can get old after a half hour or so. It would also be nice to have a setting to permanently turn the music off.

Parking Lot also doesn’t have a score board. For a game that’s particularly challenging, it’s a shame that it doesn’t offer users the opportunity to record their successes or gloat over their triumphs to other players.

Overall, Parking Lot is a stellar iPhone game. This app is fun, challenging, and addictive.

Great game! I was addicted to this for a while. Try Magentic Block Puzzle too, which I am now addicted to. Really good.
