I would prefer to use an app like this because I am sure Target and others aren't going to tell you the cheapest place to buy a stocked item other than their store.I hope this technology has the ability to stay separate and not beholding to any specific commercial enterprise. Otherwise it will turn into just another way for somebody to show ads. I use this application every once in awhile. It seems to work fine for me.

It works like a charm and most of the time finds what I just scanned. The only issue I have with it is that most products can only be found online - not locally.
