Safari, the books online powerhouse, just announced a new service that gives subscribers ultimate flexibility for onscreen reading. With Safari Bookbag users can package their books as PDFs and view them on the iPhone or iPod Touch (v 2.1 or higher).
Safari subscribers with accounts that allow PDF downloads can browse their books anywhere with a wi-fi connection. To do so, just install Safari Bookbag and once synced you can tap any title for instant reading.
I’ve longed debated whether to get a Safari account. The company specializes in books related to technology, business and graphics — right up my alley. The ability to take titles with me on my iphone is definitely a deal sweetener.
