Even Attila the Hun would enjoy playing Hudson Entertainment’s Slyder Adventures, that’s how much fun it is. It’s a classic maze game but with its facile game play, crisp, brightly colored graphics and infectious sound track, it’s hard to put down.
You may already be familiar with Sandlot Games’ popular PC and online version of this game.
The object of Slyder Adventures is to maneuver Slyder through a maze, collecting cherries, strawberries ice cream cones and other food, while avoiding gates, conveyor belts, bouncers and other obstacles that stymie Slyder or send it off in the wrong direction.
Slyder gets around by one of two ways: touch only and by touch and tilt. In touch and tilt mode, you spin the maze around and let gravity take its course.
The game features plenty of help if you need it, but it’s more fun to get out and explore. With 80 levels, you’ll be at this one for a long time to come.
Slyder Adventure feels to me more like an arcade game than any other game of this type I’ve played on the iPhone (it’s compatible with the iPod touch too). It has both a nostalgic and new-new feel. It’s a good deal at $2.99 too.
