The iPhone app works fine; almost all major airports (and all McDonalds) have compatible hotspots. Domain & other settings are easily obtained from our company who encourages iPass use. Why hide that info?! It's to the company's benefit to encourage this lower cost use vs. $8.95 or more a day for mobile internet access! I'm sorry your corporate helpdesk is inadequate...again, my company does a great job of providing help to employees & customers alike. Sorry if I sound like Pollyanna.

I disagree; my company negotiated very aggressive rates with iPass. I have the old version on my Mac and it did not need a "configuration code". Still works great. Also, the PC version just asks for the domain. Dealing with my company's Help Desk is a major pain and mostly clueless. When dealing with Apple products, there stock answer is "We don't support that". I support my own machine and my own phone and that works well except for when a vendor makes that impossible. I'd love to try iPass on my iPhone, but it's just not worth the hassle of dealing with the "Help Desk" and the hour it would take to get routed to the wrong person.

I have to agree with exNewt. Now, while I'm traveling and really need it, it won't log on. I open System, find and open the wifi network. But when I close System to open iPass, the phone drops the connection. If I stay in System the phone eventually opns a login page requesting a password and id that I don't have. Either way, I'm travelling and paying for ipass but still having to pay for wifi a la carte. Not happy.

The app worked on my iPhone until I installed system 3.0. Now, while I’m traveling and really need it, it won’t log on. I know the iTunes page says "your system administrator can request a configuration code" but from whom? And how? Our iPass IT person had no idea hat to do when I asked them.

What is a shame is there is no indicated way on iPass’s Website how to request a “configuration code.” As many IT departments are helpless and non-iPhone friendly, they have never heard of a need for the code, and have no idea how to get it.
