Entertain and Embarrass Your Friends with Super Friends!
Super Friends!Developer: Mention Mobile LLC
Price: free Download on the App Store

Super Friends! the app is not to be confused with the campy animated show from the 1970s. Instead, it’s an irreverent social media Q & A game, similar to countless to Facebook applications. The method of play will be familiar to many, and easy-to-understand for just about anyone. After the game is opened and configured, it will display one of 400 random questions about one of your friends, selected at random. Answer the question in the funniest, most interesting way you can, then post the answer online for your friends to see.
Since Super Friends! feels so much like one of those Facebook applications that’s constantly begging permission to post to your wall and access your private data, what’s the advantage of making Super Friends! into its own separate iPhone app? First of all, Super Friends! has set its sights on a target slightly broader than Facebook. If you’d like, the game will be limited only to Facebook, but it’s also possible to play and post answers directly to Twitter, or even to play with contacts from your Apple Address Book and then share your answers more directly. You can make your answers as public or as private as you like.
The game has other virtues, too. For one, the default set of questions are fun and silly, as advertised. But if you’d like, you can also draft and upload your own personalized questions. If there’s something you always wanted to say or something you’ve always wanted your friend to answer, Super Friends is a great, indirect way to do it. The questions can also retrieve information from friends’ profiles, so you can take a vote to see how many of your friends like a certain user picture, for example.
The look and feel of the app is also pretty nice. The lettering looks hand-drawn, as do the little cartoon characters that are strewn about. Super Friends is bright and colorful, and it matches the irreverent tone of the questions.
While this is a good app, it’s also not for everybody. Merely casual users of Facebook or Twitter will likely not see the advantage of an endless informal poll, and others might be annoyed by the constant updates. For this reason, it’s safe to say Super Friends! will appeal to a younger crowd. It’s also safe to say that this younger crowd is sure to find Super Friends! very appealing.
