Similar to Bejeweled and other color matching games, Trism brings a whole new concept to the game. The object of Trism is to get three matching triangles, or trisms, together. But the trick is that it has to be the triangles sides that are touching and not corner to corner. Also, because we are dealing with triangles, instead of the lines moving up and down, they move diagonally. It's a little bit weird to get the hang of it, but it is a lot of fun once you do.
Trism has some great features. The active tutorial in the game is fantastic. I takes you through the basics, the bonuses, the obstacles and ultimately gives you a chance to practice what you have learned on free play. The options menu includes the all-important sound effects toggle and also a very useful color blind toggle. There is an the option to wipe off all of the data saved in the game so you can either start over or make sure that everything is off your iPhone if you want to delete Trism.
There are 3 different types of play mode. One would be Infinism and that is just a game that goes on forever similar to that of bejeweled infinite. Terminism is a race against the clock in order to get the most points. Last would be Syllogism, which is a level game that involves you clearing all the triangles within a certain number of moves.
When I was trying to put this article together I could hardly keep my hands off of Trism. It certainly does get quite addicting the first time you play it. When an application gets more than 500 reviews and still has 4 1/2 stars, you know that it's good.
