The French blog Mobifrance leaked today the plans of a french consulting company AIM Innovation to develop a laptop “shell” around the iPhone. This shell would consist of a screen, a keyboard but no processor – and would simply “house” the current 3G iPhone. The picture below indicates it would be running OSX — but don’t expect this anytime soon.

We’re somewhat skeptical that this type of thing can really work – implemented by a third party. There could and probably will, however, be a Mac product that takes “some” of this idea going forward.
