Finding a wine that you like can be frustrating and not to mention expensive if you’re just starting to explore what you do and don’t like. Enter Wine4.Me, an app that recently launched to help casual wine drinkers not only save themselves from experiencing wine they don’t like, but also speed less on finding their favorites since the app only recommends wines they’ll most likely enjoy.
How Wine4.Me provides you with personalized rankings is this interesting part. When you open the app you’re prompted to tell the app about your wine preferences, but don’t worry if you don’t know as you can put as much or as little as you want. If you have tried a bottle or two you like, you can rate them in Wine4.Me’s extensive database and those ratings alone will help the app pick new wines based on those wines’ characteristics that will fit your taste profile.
The app takes your initial input and creates a taste profile based on your likes and not the server at the local restaurant. Based on your profile, the app will show you a ranked list of wines that it has figured out you’ll like. But it doesn’t stop there. As you buy and taste you’re encouraged to rate the wine and the more ratings you submit the better the app will get at ranking wines for you.

Another interesting aspect of Wine4.Me is that their database of wines is objectively analyzed by wine evaluators, meaning the evaluators can actually pick out specific characteristics of the wine and repeat those results over and over again. Then, the info is put through the company’s magic technology and algorithm to compare the profile of each wine to your taste profile and then rank wines based on those results.
"It can be a huge challenge for casual wine drinkers to find a wine they are sure to like-- they don't know whose palates and opinions to trust," said Amy Gross, Founder of VineSleuth. "With Wine4.Me, we've removed the uncertainty by offering truly personalized wine rankings based on the individual's taste profile. We know they'll love these wines because they're based on what they already like."
Wine4.Me’s wine selections are widely available at many grocery stores and wine outlets such as Wegmans, Safeway, Albertsons, Kroger, H-E-B, Ralphs, Spec’s, ABC, BevMo and Total Wine as well as many popular restaurants across the United States.
If you’re new to wine or have been enjoying it for sometime, but are looking to save time and money on finding your next favorite, Wine4.Me is one of the easiest ways to explore some new options and find a delicious bottle for your next meal or party.
