Bruji today is pleased to announce version 5.0.3 of DVDpedia, an update to their popular movie cataloging application for Mac OS X. DVDpedia has access to many different international databases and allows users to build their DVD, Blu-Ray and VHS database using keyword or barcode searches. Users can organize their movies in smart collections and folders, export their collections in different formats, including customizable HTML, and access statistics about their database.
Version 5.0.3 brings important fixes to the search plug-ins for IMDb, DVD Palace and Bol NL. There have also been several improvements to UI features, most notably faster sorting for columns with names (such as Director) and the inclusion of middle names in the sort process (“Johann Christian Bach” versus “Johann Sebastian Bach”).
In addition, the FTP export feature has been revamped for more stability and faster access and copy/pasting information into a multi-value field no longer creates a new blue bubble but adds the information to the selected bubble.
Bug fixes include changes to the iPod Classic export feature where the export could fail to create the required directory, multi-value field display (the blue bubbles) where the last line could remain hidden, improvements to the way deep column sorting is handled when name columns are included and fixes to the migration from version 4 to 5 during which smart collections with My Rating criteria set to ‘less than’ or ‘greater than’ were not updated correctly.
DVDpedia 5.0.3 is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Reference category. This is a free update for all owners of DVDpedia 5.0.
