Mobile Banking Apps Let Users Track Their Finances Securely

On the scene for a while now, Bank of America was one of the first banks to get out an application for the iPhone. I remember having their application when it was just a web app. Not much has changed since it was a web app. Actually I don’t think anything changed except for the color and reliability. Why change something that works, right?
Bank of America’s Mobile Banking app offers a lot of options. You can log in to all of your accounts just like you would if you were on your computer. Everything shows up just like on the actual website. You can also find locations of ATMs, Banks, 24 hour ATMs, Banks open weekends, talking ATMs, and drive up ATMs. The only downfall is that this only serves people who use Bank of America.
The new application, Mobile Banking on AT&T, brings mobile banking on the iPhone to America First Credit Union, Arvest Bank, BancorpSouth, Carolina First, FirstBank, Mercantile Bank, SunTrust, Synovus, USAA and Wachovia customers.
Bank of America has one of the best mobile banking applications on the iPhone to date. However, after perusing the pages of the new Mobile Banking on AT&T app, I must say it gives Bank of America a run for their money.
A collaboration between AT&T and Firethorn mobile, the app lets iPhone securely access and manage their finances, with features such as checking balances and transaction history, transferring funds, receiving offers, viewing and paying bills, and tracking rewards points.
As a Bank of America customer, I couldn’t test every feature of Mobile Banking on AT&T. But after downloading the app and perusing its pages, I’m impressed. Banking customers everywhere will be glad to have a secure way to keep tabs on their finances in a way that’s specifically designed for the mobile phone.
